Jensen Beach / Rio

From the moment you enter the historic downtown area of Jensen Beach, the town’s “Pineapple Capital of the World” heritage becomes strongly evident. Charming Florida cottages lined with picket fences and carved pineapples showcase local artists and their works, historic porch-fronted homes offer five-star dining, family eateries sporting Caribbean colors and motif exude a Key West type of ambiance, and a variety of small locally owned shops provide a wide array of shopping experiences. Every Thursday, locals and visitors alike head downtown for Jammin’ Jensen—a street side affair full of live entertainment, food and fun. And, in November, the downtown hosts the Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival, an annual three-day event jam-packed with music, food, rides and entertainment for the entire family. Outside of downtown, Indian Riverside Park, a 54-acre waterfront park, features an interactive water play fountain, walking paths and a 780’ scenic fishing pier. Here the newly opened Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast is also found. The 12,500 square foot museum offers children and families a place to explore and learn through hands-on, interactive activities. An indoor regional mall, Treasure Coast Square also is found in Jensen Beach and offers shoppers 120 brand name stores.
