Summer Treasures campaign is phase one of the theme designed to attract overnight visitors and to promote the “riches” of Martin County.

The Treasure Map
The first treasure hunt, “X Marks the Spot,” begins in June.
This interactive self-guided hunt will take visiting treasure hunters to venues
from coast to coast (Atlantic Ocean to Lake Okeechobee). Armed with a treasure
map they will receive when registering at their hotel, participants will visit
points of historic interest or importance, landmarks, as well as area
attractions.
This event will run through the end of September, drawing in October.
Participants who ‘discover’ or answer the most number of
riddles/clues correctly will be eligible to win a six-day, five-night vacation
at the Hutchinson Island Marriot Resort and Marina, plus a gift card for $500
worth of gas.
The ‘Summer Treasures’ Map package also includes special
offers and discounts to area such as the Elliott Museum, House of Refuge and the
Florida Oceanographic Coastal Science Center, as well as discount coupons to
restaurants and retailers, and a list of events, activities and free things to
do.
